I Just Heard From God Today and He Said,
"Behold now I know......" 2 Kings 5:15

 Facing the ravages of leprosy Naaman had relied on a strange gods for sustenance! From the first moment the blemish appeared he had  fallen fast. The condition had worsened rapidly and every effort to call on his gods proved useless! In desperation he cried out for help!

 Finally his help comes from the strangest source. A Hebrew maid who waited on Naaman's wife heard of his plight. Having had dealings with the prophet Elisha she recommended his abilities to Naaman's wife. She in turn passed them on to the courageous head of the Syrian Army!

 Approaching the King as an act of desperation her asks for assistance in approaching the foreign dignitary. It is granted him along with a letter of authorization and gifts of money and clothing. Having relied on strange gods for so many years he assumes that those in the Samaria will be all that will be available. Little did he know he would be introduced to the God of Elisha!

 After the ranting and raving of the Samaritan King he is convinced no help will be forthcoming. It looks very bleak but he is bent to be introduced to Elisha whose God of all Gods. He is the all sufficient one. The I am! I am all that you need!

 Having heard of the prevailing circumstances Elisha offers a solution! He declares, "Just have them come to me." Upon his arrival he is instructed to go and wash in the River Jordan. It is a bitter pill to swallow. At first he refuses the invitation but desperation knows at his heart. With no other solution available he turns to the God of Elisha. Following instruction he dips seven times and a miracle of miracles his flesh comes again as the flesh of a little child and he is clean.

 As he steps upon the shore he cries out, "Behold now I know." Now I know the God of Elisha He is God! Now I know He is the the "all sufficient one." We too can experience first hand the resources of the "All Mighty God" of Elisha.

In Jesus;
